As of this writing, while football is on everybody’s mind at the moment, it’s the 2026 World Cup that’s grabbing most of the headlines. The Premier League is currently an afterthought. Rest assured, though, that once the World Cup had ended, once the dust has settled, and once Justin Bieber has performed at the Superbowl, sorry, *World Cup, halftime show, people’s attention will once again turn to the EPL.

Last season was fun of excitement, thrills, twists, and turns. We saw Arsenal do what many never thought possible and win the league title for the first time in decades. That, however, was then, and this is now.

For sports betting fans, the EPL is great fun. Not only can you back your team to win the title, you can also build unique accumulators and bet upon a wide range of other markets in the process. The big question is, come the end of the season, who will be crowned champions?

Arsenal

Considering Mikel Arteta’s men were crowned EPL champions for the 2025/26 season, it should come as no surprise to learn that Arsenal are currently the bookies’ favourites to lift the trophy again and retain their title.

On the whole, though, the players that helped Arsenal secure the trophy have performed very well at the World Cup. As far as pre-season training goes, you couldn’t really ask for more.

Manchester City

Man City are currently just behind Arsenal in the odds, with Spreadex offering 13/5 odds and Labrokes providing 10/3 odds.

Spain last night defeated France to reach the World Cup final, with Rodri in particular, looking as sharp as ever. Of course, you can’t discount the Haaland factor. Up until they crashed out against England, Norway looked very dangerous, thanks largely to Haaland, who scored six goals in his first WC tournament. As City’s top scorer, he’ll look to carry that momentum over into the next season.

The only question mark will be the management. Pep Guardiola departs, making way for Enzo Maresca. Can Enzo cut the mustard? Only time will tell.

Liverpool

Liverpool may have underperformed last season, but with Arne Slot departing after such disappointment, Andoni Iraola will have his work cut out for him.

Another question mark surrounding Liverpool is their attacking force. Egypt’s Mo Salah left last season, and we all know how pivotal he was for The Red’s success.

Nevertheless, the bookies are still offering good odds, with Spreadex providing 5/1 odds and Ladbrokes offering 11/2, so they’re certainly up there.

Manchester United

It’s been a while since Man Utd were in the title picture, but after Michael Carrick guided the Red Devils to their best finish in years, Man Utd fans are cautiously optimistic.

Ever since Sir Alex Ferguson departed, Man Utd just haven’t looked the same. They were once one of the most dominant teams on the planet, though those days now feel like distant memories. Could the comeback be on?
